Free

This was a series graphic that was meant to be super simple for Blue Ridge Community Church. I turned out rather simple indeed, and I am pleased with the feel that it got. I wanted it to be minimalistic, but still convey the point.

Freedom! What a treasured word that is in our culture. We fight to gain it. Thousands have given their lives to protect it. We call America “the land of the free.” But, what does it really mean? Set aside thoughts of life and liberty for a moment. How many of us are truly free? Free from anger and fear…from guilt and addictions…from regrets…from hiding? Free to truly be who we were meant to be? Christ came to set us free, so why do so many still believe that following Him means losing their freedom just to follow a bunch of rules? As so often is the case with Jesus, it is in the paradox that we find the truth. Join us as we discover what Jesus meant when He said He came to set captives free.

So, I got an iPad 3G

iPad 3G

So I got an iPad 3G.

Yes, I do love it, thank you for asking.

I must confess, I haven’t started reading a book on it yet, but I am currently finishing my pre-iPad purchased book Making Ideas Happen, and I plan for my next book to be read on my iPad. I have already been reading a lot of news on it with my Instapaper & Early Edition apps. Previously I squinted at byline & instapaper on my iPhone 3G, so this has made it MUCH nicer for reading. Also, PvZ HD looks beautiful. I’ll keep you updated on how things go, but so far I am REALLY enjoying it.

In other news, my sister gets here a week from today. I can’t wait.

Also, the new iPhone 4 will soon be coming my way on June 24th. I love my life.
